WAYS TO GIVE

Our friends' generous support of our Annual Appeal is one of the Museum's primary means of raising funds.

We’re passionate about the story our Museum has to tell and we’re proud to continue to preserve, chronicle and share this community’s rich shipbuilding heritage.  We know that none of our efforts would be possible without your generous contributions.  As a donor, you’re part of an important group that provides support for virtually every area of the Museum – our extraordinary collection, special exhibitions and inspiring lectures, educational programs, community events and the preservation of our historic Shipyard site.

The American fishing schooner was perhaps the most important tool in building this country’s commerce and economy for two centuries - and there were more wooden fishing schooners built in Essex than in any other town in the world! The significance of Essex in the unfolding of our country’s history cannot be overstated.

The Essex Shipbuilding Museum is a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization.  All donations tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
